Recycle Sealant – The Equipment
Recycling gives big sealant cost savings. It also saves money on trade effluent charges as well as a reduced delivery and storage overhead
Your existing impregnation system can be modified to reycyle sealant with little cost or disruption.
Sealant Recovery – the Essential Difference
Behind the wash stage, a sealant recovery system is fitted. This is able to separate sealant from the wash water, and make it available for re-use.
Benefit from Decades of Specialist Design Expertise
X-Seal Ltd license designs of impregnation equipment and sealant recovery systems to distributors who will assess your needs and help you switch to cheaper, better greener X-Seal Acrylic-120T.
What Will It Cost?
That's the beauty of it – it may not cost you anything at all! The savings in impregnant costs will normally be significantly greater than the cost to convert. And don't forget the cost saving from higher impregnation standards, less rework and reduced waste.
Better, Cheaper, Greener – It Has to Make Sense!

Component JigRotating Basket
Basket Rotational Processing
By designing the impregnation plant to use baskets that can be rotated in the process, it is possible to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the impregnation process.
In addition, the advantages of having the components safely and securely stored within jigs inside euro-baskets are felt throughout the manufacturing process.
Components and their machined faces and vulnerable corners are protected when being moved around the works. Double-handling is avoided and batches are kept together.
X-Seal designs impregnation plant offering rotating baskets, sealant recycling and other cost-effective features.
TL800 Top Load Impregnation System
Example Installation
The TL800 Top Load impregnation system features basket rotational stations.
In addition, it has automatic basket vertical transfer housed within the autoclave. This provides automatic draining as well as resetting the workload for automatic transfer pick and place.
Sealant is recovered from the hot cure station.
The installation consisted of Pre-wash - Rotational oven - Autoclave - Drain station - Hot cure/Sealant recovery.
Options include
Eliminate the cold wash and rinse (if one is included) and recover the washed sealant at the hot cure stage.
Replace dunk washing and draining with rotational stations.
These are modular designs and may be used in any position within the
process.

Benefits of the TL800 Top Load Impregnation System
Reduced chemical usage
Considerably reduced effluent
Water consumption reduced by as much as 90%
High standard of component cleanliness
Components may be jigged
Excellent component sealing
Eliminates the need for double impregnation
Reduced floor space
Uses recyclable sealant: potential recovery up to 90%
Component jigging for rotational processing
Four station front load example
Front Load Processing
Front Load Processing has to be the ultimate method for component impregnation. The picture is a typical four station installation comprising of 'Pre-wash' 'Impregnation' 'cold wash' 'Hot cure'.
This system was supplied to Wabco USA for sealing aluminium steering housings. Each station cycle was within 5 minutes.
Benefits over Top Load systems
Horizontal rotation avoids air locking within the component
High consistent cleanliness
Excellent sealability
Low chemical wastage
Small footprint
May be integrated within the production environment
