Casting Impregnation Technical Information
This section of the website provides technical detail for users of casting impregnation processes.
Where is the Problem?
If the impregnation results you are getting are not as you would like, the problem could be caused by one (or more) of three factors:
- The casting
- The process
- The impregnant
So we need to be able to work out which of these is causing any problems.
We can use a test ring in three ways to achieve this:
- Impregnate a standard test ring in the normal production impregnation process to test the effectiveness of both the impregnant and the process.
- Impregnate a standard test ring in a standard impregnation process to test the effectiveness of the impregnant alone.
- Test the impregnant's stability and consistency in laboratory conditions to test the suitability of the impregnant.
